A seventeen- year old female student who had attempted to write on the Sigiriya mirror wall had been arrested by the police on Thursday evening.

Police Media Spokesperson, SSP Ajith Rohana stated that she was arrested on claims of attempting to deface the mirror wall.Police stated that this student had been on an educational trip when she wrote on the mirror wall.

SSP Ajith Rohana added that the arrested student is due to be produced in court on Friday.
