The Wellawatte Police have launched an investigation into claims of a kidnapping where the alleged offenders have requested a ransom of two million in exchange for the release of a sixteen-year-old girl.

Police Media Spokesperson, SSP Ajith Rohana stated that the girl’s father had reported the kidnapping to the police.
