In order to render our support to those who have been been affected by the Koslanda tragedy, we at News 1st have launched the Sirasa/Shakthi Sahana Yathra prorgramme, an initiative carried out by the Capital Maharaja Organisation.
Donations have been pouring in at our Head Office in Braybrooke Place as the public continue to show their support to help those in need. Donations will be received at our Head Office at Braybrooke Place, Colombo 2 till midnight, Friday, October 31.
Packing is currently underway to transport this aid towards those affected by the inclement weather, particularly to the survivors of the Koslanda landslide.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to those who responded this way – flooding our collection centres with their acts of goodwill.
Meanwhile, collection of relief items have been stopped at Stein Studios in Ratmalana, Ramakrishna Mission in Wellawatte and Colombo Vivekananda Centre and Kandy City Centre.
