UPFA Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa says that the Budget 2 015 which was presented in Parliament is a budget aimed for the future.

He made this statement at an event held in the Anguruwathota area in Bulathsinhala.

Most people, including few from the UNP, see this as a budget targeting the upcoming election. They even ask us if this is a budget to obtain votes. Even when we construct one byroad or a main road it is though one budget that we forecast as to how much must be allocated to create the next road which in turn ties to the next budget. We have constructed power plants, we have created new water projects but we cant expect the return to come within the next two years. This will take time. Those who are benefiting from this right now are out brothers and sisters.[/quote]
