The Democratic Party leader noted that according to current information they had received they feel that the UNP leader would contest the next presidential election, although it has not been confirmed as yet.
He noted that the decision of the Democratic Party will be based on the final decision taken by the UNP adding that they will consider all options with an open mind and before reaching a final decision..
