Two customs officials attached to the customs vehicles yard in Colombo have been arrested for allegedly removing parts of vehicles at the yard.

The arrest was made after a complaint was lodged that side mirrors and viper blades had been removed off several vehicles.

The Police Media Unit stated that after further investigations were carried out, the two customs officials were arrested by the harbour police.

The two suspects are residents of the Ganemulla and Rajagiriya areas respectively and are due to be produced before court on Tuesday.
