JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayaka once again tried to inquire into the incident in relation to Former Sri Lankan High Commissioner for the UK Dr. Chris Nonis in Parliament on Friday.

JVP Leader, MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake expressed these views;
What has happened to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which is being run using the excessive taxes imposed on the Samurdhi beneficiaries of the South? Presidential coordinating secretaries are attacking ambassadors. He acts as the Chief Representative of this country there. If another individual, another diplomat in fact, attacks such a person, then what sort of government would that be? Has this institution, which depends on the taxes of the Samurdhi beneficiaries, provided the respect and protection that these people deserve?
He further said:
If they have arguments and beat each other up at parties, then what sort of country is it? As a result of the collapse in this sector, today our nation and its people, have been sent on a path to extreme hardship. It is the Samurdhi beneficiary families living in the South that are most affected by this. When the entire foreign service has been placed in the hands of a person, or an official who is uncivilised and has not even passed a single subject at the ordinary levels, it is not surprising that the foreign service has collapsed in this way.
