Facebook is not charging any monthly fee as claimed by few news websites.
And it has also been confirmed that the story about charging of monthly fee which has gone viral is now confirmed to be “fictional” according to reports.
The fake stories stated that the social networking giant Facebook is going to charge its users $2.99 per month considering the rising cost.
The matter has so far gone viral via internet and Facebook users had started expressing outrage over the so called fictional story. Credible foreign sources have now confirmed that the story about the charge is fake piece of information which has now calmed down its users.
Recently, the social networking website announced that they would add a ‘satire’ tag with their news feed for articles from parody news outlets.
“This is because we received feedback that people wanted a clearer way to distinguish satirical articles from others,” a Facebook spokesperson told Ars Technica website.
