The recorded voter turnout in Badulla of the Uva Provincial Council polls is reported to be nearing 50%.
Badulla District Secretary and Returning Officer Rohana Keerthi Dissanayake stated that the percentage was received based on the information received at 01.00 p.m. Saturday.
The Uva Provincial Council Polls which commenced at 07.00 a.m. on Saturday morning is scheduled to finish at 04.00 p.m. Saturday evening.
The District Secretary and Returning Officer said that the counting of postal votes will begin at 04.00 p.m.
The rest of the votes is scheduled to be counted at 06.00 p.m. Saturday evening.The District Secretary and Returning Officer, Rohana Keerthi Dissanayake further added that the counting of votes will be taking place at 71 counting stations.
