Sixteen individuals have been arrested over an attack on a lawyer representing one of the suspects in the case pertaining to the kidnapping of Dinidu Yashen in Galgamuwa.

Describing the incident, police said they had received a complaint with regard to residents pelting stones at the vehicle of the defendant’s lawyer, when the case was taken up in the Galgamuwa court on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Galgamuwa Magistrate has ordered that the five suspects be kept in remand custody until October 1.
