An accident took place on the Veyangoda – Mirigama Road on Sunday evening, involving the SUV of Parliamentarian Upeksha Swarnamali.

The Police Media Unit stated that the parliamentarian’s driver was taken into custody following the incident.

An individual was injured after Upeksha Swarnamali’s SUV collided with his three-wheeler.

Police said that the injured person has been admitted to the Wathupitawala Hospital.
