President Mahinda Rajapaksa has reportedly said that he is open to discussing the implementation of the 13th Amendment in talks with the TNA.
The President had reportedly made these remarks in an interview with India’s The Hindu newspaper.
Suhasini Haidar, Diplomatic and Strategic Affairs Editor at India’s The Hindu newspaper, posted on twitter, that President Mahinda Rajapaksa had said in an interview that he is open to discussing the implementation of the 13th Amendment to the constitution, with the exception of police powers, in talks with the Tamil National Alliance.
The President had also reportedly said that Sri Lanka will never forget the support rendered by India, to defeat the LTTE.
