A police officer has been stabbed during a raid conducted on a liquor store in Viharagala, Suriyawewa.

The injured police officer who was attached to the Tangalle Crimes Investigation Unit has been admitted to the Suriyawewa Hospital.

The suspect in connection to the incident has been arrested. He will be produced before the Hambantota court on Sunday.
