Three individuals have been taken in to custody by the Tangalle Crimes Investigation Unit on charges of illegal arms possession.

Four locally-made revolvers and a pistol were found in their possession. Additionally police found ammunition for a T-56 rifle as well as twelve 9 mm bullets.

According to the police media spokespersons unit, the suspects are to be produced before the Tissamaharama Magistrate’s Court. The suspects hailed from the areas of Tissamaharama, Mahasenpura and Ranminithenna.
