Apple fans have already begun to camp outside the company’s flagship US store ahead of next week’s expected iPhone 6 launch.
iPhone fans have already begun to camp outside Apple’s fifth avenue New York store in anticipation of next Tuesday’s expected iPhone 6 unveil.
A handful of hardcore enthusiasts have been staking out the shop since August 31, despite the fact the handset will probably not be available to buy before September 19.
Apple sent out media invitations last week to a ‘special event’ to be held on Tuesday September 9, at the Flint Centre for the Performing Arts at De Anza in San Francisco.
Among those currently camping out are cousins Ceballo and Joseph Cruz, representing reseller website BuyBackWorld, who sold their spots at the front of the queue for $2,500 (£1,500) to a couple hoping to promote their app.
The pair have sold their places for the past five years, and made an estimated $7,000. They began queueing on Sunday night and expect to camp for around 16 more days, making their wait a total of 20 days.
