S.M. Marikkar was appointed the UNP Organiser for the Kolonnawa Electorate.

The appointment letter was presented to S.M. Marikkar by UNP leader Ranil Wickremsinghe on Friday morning.

S.M. Marikkar entered the political stage at the last Western Province Elections. Receiving 67,886,  votes he became the most popular candidate in the last election with the highest number of preferential votes.
