Four suspects charged with several acts of crime including that of murder have been arrested by the Tangalle Crimes Eradication Unit.

The Police Media Spokesperson’s Office said that the suspects were wanted for the murder of an individual in Aluthgama in 2012.

Police say the victim was shot and killed by the suspects. A fire arm and pistol and several bullets used in the weapons were produced by the suspects during interrogation. Police noted that two forged National Identity Cards and a Driver’s Licence was also confiscated by the police.

Meanwhile, three vehicles and a stock of gold were also confiscated by the police.
