Government to repatriate Lankans in Liberia owing to Ebola threat

Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare, Dilan Perera says that swift measures will be taken to repatriate Sri Lankans in Liberia due to the threat of the Ebola virus, which is spreading rapidly across Africa.

In Libera, 294 deaths have been reported due to the Ebola virus, and a further 554 persons have contracted the disease.

Minister Dilan Perera stated that due to this reason, they have halted sending Sri Lankans to Liberia.
