Opposition leader of the Katharagama Pradehiya Sabha Ashoka Wickremasinghe met with President Mahinda Rajapaksa on Monday and pledged his support to the UPFA.
According to the Presidential Media Unit, Ashoka Wickremesinghe met with President Rajapaksa at Temple Trees on Monday, July 28
Issuing a release, the Presidential Media Unit stated that Ashoka Wickremesinghe, who served as the chairman of the Kataragama Pradeshiya Sabha for nineteen years had met with President Rajapaksa and had decided to support the development efforts underway in the Uva Province.
Wickremesinghe had pledged to support the UPFA during the upcoming Uva Provincial Council Election.
