Twelve school students have been hospitalised following a wasp attack in Bandarawela.

A spokesperson of the Bandarawela District hospital said that two teachers have also been hospitalised, noting that the condition of the 14 hospitalized is not critical.

Meanwhile, 15 tea-pluckers at an estate in Talawakale were also victims of a wasp attack in the area Thursday morning.

One of the tea-pluckers is currently receiving in-house treatment at the Talawakele Hospital.
