CAA uncovers racket involving sale of expired goods

The Consumer Affairs Authority has uncovered a racket where expired goods and substandard food items had been sold in the market. Chairman of the CAA, Rumy Marzook said that they were able to uncover a number of such rackets in the recent past.

He said that accordingly, the general public must be alert when purchasing food items. He also said that any complaints regarding such rackets being carried out should be immediately reported to the Authority on their number: 011-239-9146.

He  noted that the identities of persons reporting such incidents will not be revealed.
