The teacher who had allegedly thrown away the mid-day meals of a group of Grade 1 students of Seevali College in Elpitiya, Ethkandura has been transferred to another school.

Elpitiya Zonal Director of Education J. K. Rajapaksa stated that the teacher in question will be subjected to a fair and unbiased investigation. The teacher was accused of throwing away the mid-day meals of five students in her class.

The food brought to school by those students had not matched the type of meal specified for that particular day. The regional director added that the teacher was transferred to another school in the Elpitiya Education Zone.
