The launch also featured an exhibition bout on an international standard boxing ring erected at the car park of the Newsfirst Head Office.
After trials held across the country covering all districts, 32 boxers made it to the quarter finals of Super Fighter under four weight classes.
The quarter final bouts were held on May 31 at the picturesque Galle Fort.
The first phase of the semi-finals was held in Pallekele Kandy on June 19, and the second phase of the semi final bouts was held at Stein Studios, Ratmalana on Tuesday.
Sixteen contenders who made it through the trials, which saw the participation of about ten thousand aspiring boxers, fought for a coveted place in the finals and the title of Super Fighter.
Colour was added to the semi-final bouts with several entertainment items.
