Police reveal identities of LTTE suspects arrested in Malaysia

The Police Media Spokesperson convened a media briefing on Tuesday. Speaking at the briefing, SSP Ajith Rohana revealed the identities of the three LTTE suspects arrested in Malaysia recently.

Police Media Spokesperson, SSP Ajith Rohana revealed following details:

“Three persons identified by us were recently arrested in Malaysia on the 15th. Sri Lankan police officers arrived in Kuala Lumpur and took custody of the three men and brought them back to Sri Lanka last night. One of the three, Sundralingam Raja Ushanthan alias Mullaichelvam as he was known in the LTTE, had been in Malaysia from 2004 until the time of his arrest.”

He also added:”There was an open warrant and a red notice issued on him. The Malaysian Police arrested him and have handed him over to us. Another person arrested in Malaysia was Mahadevan Kirubakaran. He had fled to Malaysia in 2006 and since then he has directly and indirectly supported various LTTE activities in Sri Lanka. The third is Selvathurai Kirubanandan. He fled to Malaysia in 2006.”
