Senior minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka and MP Vidura Wickramanayaka commented on development and discipline at an event held on Thursday afternoon.

UPFA MP , Vidura Wickramanayaka shared these views:

“Development should be for the public and not be restricted to a certain group. The people and history have the sole right to development not a certain person or group or gang. The development taking place is similar to that. We need to break free from these bonds. We need to set ourselves free and move ahead with a clear vision …”

Senior Minister , Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka expressed these views:

“There is no discipline in society today. A student stabs another student. Teachers are forced to kneel. Students go to courts against certain teachers. Where is the discipline? You need to discuss this matter amongst yourselves. Where there is no discipline, it is difficult for development to take place. Development in such a backdrop will not be successful..”

The foundation stone for the second phase for the Horana Bus Stand was laid on Thursday.
