Debate on decisive No Confidence Motion commences

The debate on the No Confidence Motion against the government has commenced in Parliament today.

The United National Party submitted a No Confidence Motion in Parliament  against the government in February  charging that the government had failed to put arrest the distribution of drugs in the country.

The  opposition-sponsored Motion of No Confidence was  submitted with the signatures of thirty UNP MPs.

Our reporter in Parliament stated that the debate on the No Confidence Motion was started by UNP Kegalle District Parliamentarian Kabir Hashim.

The vote with regard to the motion is due to be taken at 6.30. p.m. today.
