An individual has been strangled to death at a residence in Horawala, Dehiowita, Eheliyagoda.

The wife and children of the sixty-four-year-old deceased were reportedly out at the time. Suspects in connection with the incident are yet to be identified.

The body has been placed at the Avissawella Hospital for the postmortem examination.
