The Water Supply and Drainage Board says that 2500 water supply connections have been provided to families in Rathupaswala, Gampaha. The area came under close scrutiny last year following a drinking water problem that sprung in the area.
General Manager of the Board Ranjith Balasuriya said that these connections were provided at a concessionary rate of Rs.3,000 each.
He further noted that these connections were provided to those living in the Rathupaswala Grama Niladari Division.
