The Government Midwifery Association has decided to stage a sick note campaign on Monday and refrain from reporting to work.

The President of the Association, Devika Kodituwakku says that the decision was taken to protest influence being brought to bear on their duties by nurses.

However, the President of the All Ceylon Midwives Union, Deepthi Weeratunga said that their association would not support this action.
