The Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau says that a new set of rules to prevent over-spending have been formulated for individuals travelling overseas for employment.
The Deputy Manager of the Bureau, Mangala Randeniya says that discussions pertaining to this issue was taken up between eleven countries at a conference held on May 6 and 7.
It was revealed during discussions that individuals who are sent for employment overseas are demanded exorbitant prices by several foreign agencies. The new set of rules will regulate the prices charged by agencies.
