President of the All Ceylon Railway Workers Union S.P. Withanage said that a complete investigation that should not be based on reprimanding employees needs to be carried out.
In reponse, Superintendant of Railways I.A.R Ratnayake told News1st that the General Manager of Railways has already appointed an investigative board to carry out investigations into the incident.
Accordingly the investigative board is said to consists of four executive officers of the Railway Department.
The Superintendent of Railways further said that the General Manager has instructed that a report to be submitted in this regard as soon as possible.
