CB data reveals a sharp increase in number of male expatriates

According to the latest data obtained from the 2013 Annual Central Bank report, it is evident that there is a sharp increase of “new male expatriates,” last year.

According to Central Bank’s Annual Report for the year 2013, there has been an increase of 9 percent of males seeking overseas job employment in 2013, when compared to the same period in 2012.

Furthermore, 2013 also saw the highest number of male expatriate workers, within the span of nine years.

According to the the classification of workforce, the number of female domestic workers in the year 2012 stood at 1,19,011.

The data released also indicate that this number reduced to 96,943 in 2013 – which is a reduction of nine percent compared to the year 2012.

Data obtained from The Annual Central Bank report also reveals that the number of skilled overseas workers have increased from 67,150 to 73,600 in 2013 compared to 2012.
