One person was killed and another injured after shots were fired at a party in the Livingston Watte area in Ambalangoda.

Police stated that the shooting took place at around 9.30 on Monday night.

One of the injured died upon admission at the Polwatte Hospital. Police added that the suspect had fled the scene and investigations are underway.
