Today is Day 16, of the tour Around the World in 40 Days – a joint venture of Newsfirst and Sri Lanka Youth that is taking place parallel to the World Conference on Youth that will be held in May this year.

The Sri Lankan delegation visited several areas in Australia on Friday. The Sri Lankan delegation left for the Katoomba Train Station on Friday morning from the Central Railway Station in Sydney.

The journey was a distance of 130 kilometres and the Buddhist Temple in Katoomba provided accommodation to the Lankan delegation. Later, the delegation were escorted for a trek on the Blue Mountains.

A rainbow added more colour to the scenic beauty of the mountain range known as the three-sisters. At an elevation of 100 metres above sea level, the mountain range was indeed a magnificent creation of Mother Nature and has drawn the attention of many tourists from all corners of the globe.

The Sri Lankan delegation will set off to the United States of America on Saturday.
