The police has commenced investigations into a group of suspicious individuals who arrived at the Kosgoda Turtle Sanctuary early Wednesday morning.

Police Media Spokesperson, SSP Ajith Rohana said that residents rounded up the van and took into hostage one of the suspects.

Three of the suspects fled the scene, while one was subsequently taken in to police custody.
