After an eighteen-year long wait, the victorious Sri Lankan team brought back an ICC trophy, this time the World T20 trophy, to the country.

Fans who awaited their arrival with bated breath were not sparing with their cheers and the welcome was truly one from the heart.
The motorcade accompanying the victorious national yeam left the Bandaranaike Airport on Tuesday evening, with thousands of fans lining up on either side of the road to cheer the team.

The team, finally, arrived at Galle Face Green.
