The Tamil National People’s Front charges that injunctions have been issued against organisations engaged in looking for evidence for the United Nations investigation.

Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam made this statement at a media briefing held in Colombo on Monday.

Leader of Tamil National people’s Front Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam , expressed the following views:

“ If the UN is faced with a situation where they are unable to conduct an investigation in Sri Lanka, they will attempt an alternative, and the only media for them is the diaspora. There is a possibility of evidence leaking through this connection, which is why this method has been banned. “

He added: “By banning such an organisation, how are the Tamil people to achieve true reconciliation? By banning the diaspora, the true stance of the government has been revealed. If the government believes that their proposal and judgment is the only way to achieve reconciliation, they are wrong. They need to hold discussions in order to engage with the Tamil people and win them over. “
