An unbeaten 111 by opener Ahmed Shehzad guided Pakistan to a resounding win over hosts Bangladesh earlier this evening at the ICC World Twenty20 in Mirpur.
Pakistan’s win over Bangladesh means that Australia lose their chance of making it to the semi finals.Batting first Pakistan got off to a flying start with Ahmed Shehzad and Kamran Akmal firing a quick 43 for the opening stand in just 27 deliveries.
Despite the failure of the middle order , Ahmed Shehzad managed to stand his ground and went on an assault on the home bowlers hammering them to all corners of the park. Shezad scored an unbeaten 111 which comprised of 5 hits over the fence and 10 to the boundary line.
Pakistan posted a massive 190 runs on the board for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs.Chasing 190 runs to win the Bangladeshi side collapsed from the 5th over losing wickets at regular intervals. The home side proceeded to post only 140 runs in their 20 overs handing Pakistan a comprehensive 50 run win.
