The Ministry of Fisheries says that all Indian fishing trawlers in Sri Lankan custody will be released within the nest two days.
Minister Rajitha Senaratne said five Indian fishing trawlers were released recently.
He added that Indo – Sri Lanka discussions on fishing issued is set to take place on March 25.
The Minister further added,
“We said in return our trawlers need to be released too. They have agreed to this and accordingly, they too have released five of our trawlers. We have released a majority of Indian fishing trawlers that were in our custody and only a few are remaining,. That too will be released in the coming few days.
