Addressing a public rally in Maradana on Friday, Parliamentarian Rosy Senanayake said that the government has no system in place for students who are denied admission to universities.

Senanayake expressed these views:

“Three hundred and fifty thousand children are granted grade one admission every year. Every parent takes their child by the hand to school with the hope that someday they would be graduates. But with the education system of this country, only 20,000 students are granted admission to universities while 330,000 innocent children are left out. What does this government have in place for such students? I will fearlessly speak out to the entire country. Even the media is here today, so I would like to ask if there is anyone here, raise your hand if there is anyone who is not in debt.”
