Mobile propaganda campaign against HRC resolution on SL continues

Demonstrations were staged in several areas of  the country on Friday against the proposed resolution on  Sri Lanka at the Human Rights Council in Geneva.

This mobile propaganda campaign which commenced from Tangalle continued its journey  from Galle today.

The programme is organised by the Joint Trade Union Alliance and the Assistant Secretaries Association.

Signatures were collected today as well for a  petition with one million signatures against the Geneva resolution on Sri Lanka. The group that arrived from Galle to Seenigama, then received blessing from the Seenigama Devalaya.

Meanwhile, a group who staged a demonstration in the Thekkawatta area in Vavuniya  arrived at the Vavuniya District Secretariat and handed a letter to the District Secretary.

A protest march was held in the Kalmunai area against the proposed resolution on Sri Lanka in Geneva.

The protest march organised by the people of Kalmunai commenced from Mohideen Jummah Mosque and made its way along  the Kalmunai – Batticaloa road. Thereafter, the group of protestors arrived at the Kalmunai District Secretariat and handed a letter to the District Secretary.
