The Minister of Co-operatives and Internal Trade Johnston Fernando says that the price of pharmaceuticals will be controlled by the Consumer Affairs Authority.
Addressing a media briefing held on Wednesday the minister said that permission must be sought from the Consumer Affairs Authority when increasing the price of pharmaceuticals in future.
The Minister noted that the gazette notification in this regard has been issued.The decision has been in effect since March 4.
