Archbishop of Colombo, His Eminence Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith says that foreign intervention is not necessary to resolve problems in Sri Lanka.
Issuing a communique, the Cardinal says that rebuilding the motherland, protecting it and making it grow, is everyone’s duty.
The Cardinal says that while several nations have introduced a resolution on Sri Lanka calling for an international investigation into allegations of human rights violations, if any citizen in this country attempts to take internal conflicts outside or bring external conflicts inside, no one will be victorious.
He says that such actions will create space for arbitrary international intervention in the internal problems of a sovereign nation.
