The Sri Lanka Human Rights Council has concluded their investigations into the tense situation that arose in the Rathupaswala area last year.
Legal Secretary of the SLHRC, Nimal Punchihewa stated that evidence regarding the incident have been collected from the public, civil organisations, security units and government institution officials in the area .
Therefore, Nimal Punchihewa said that the report of the investigations collected will be handed over to President Rajapaksa next week.
The SLHRC stated that through this report, they hope to present recommendations on how to prevent similar incidents in the future.
