The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery and Corruption  arrested the principal of a primary school in Matara on Monday. The principal was arrested for alleged bribery.

The Director of the Investigations Department of the Commission, SSP Somaweera Lokuge says that the Principal was arrested after allegedly taking a bribe of Rs.53,000 from the mother of a student.

Further investigations into the incident are being carried out.
