There are many people around us who want to get away from the stress and tension of life and living . Those who want to be engrossed in the beauty of nature, to be surrounded by waves and be lashed by the waters. This is why sea-bathing has become very popular today.
But what is important to remember is that water is always not the safest place to admire the beauty of nature. It doesn’t take long for the waters to turn hostile. But alas! many of these fun-lovers forget to take care, enthralled in the joys and the comforting fun that the waters bring, it slips their mind to become cautious of the impending dangers.

Seven family members including Krishni Samanali a resident of Balagalawatta, Wattala arrived at this location to celebrate the twenty third birthday of her elder sister.
The group who were having a sea bath were carried further away owing to a rough tide. Five persons survived the ordeal while two lives were lost .
