Deputy Leader of the United National Party, Parliamentarian Sajith Premadasa has stated that not even the Leadership Council has enough power vested in it to unite the opposition party.
In order for us to move forward as an opposition, our programmes have to be fresh and meaningful. The philosophy that we will be implementing has to be accepted by the country. There were certain times when the UNP did not conduct programmes that were appropriate. That’s the reality.
The parliamentarian made this comment while joining in an exclusive interview with Newsfirst journalist, Suranga Senanayake on our segement Newsline on Sirasa TV.
