Bad experiences should be written on sand as they get wiped away – President

President Mahinda Rajapaksa says saving our peace and unity is our responsibility and not of any others.

Addressing the nation on 66th Independence Day, President Mahinda Rajapaksa stressed that bad experiences should be written on sand as they get wiped away.

He also noted that revenge has never been a part of our culture.

President added that attempts to level war crime charges against Sri Lanka (us) in Geneva today is the triumph of those who are not in favour of peace.

The President also commented on the hardships undergone by  people in the North.
