Police have arrested  a drug dealer in the Alubomulla, Madupitiya area in Panadura  and seized  8000 packets, weighing 200 grammes of Heroin in his possession.

Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said that the suspect  was arrested on Saturday evening when police opened fire at a three -wheeler which has attempted to drive off ignoring police orders.

The drugs have been transported assorted in small packets. Police added that the individual has been involved in distributing drugs to areas surrounding Panadura for a considerable period of time
