Vijith Wijayamuni on why actresses have entered politics

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party’s Matara Electorate Central Committee gathered for a special discussion on Saturday.

The event which was held under the auspices of UPFA Organiser of the Matara Electorate Deputy Minister of Postal Services Sanath Jayasuriya was also attended by a number of  political representatives.

Deputy Minister of Postal Services, Sanath Jayasuriya shared these views; “The elections for the Southern Provincial Council will most probably be held on the 29th of March.  So, before that day dawns, I thought of discussing this timetable with these two ministers and the district leader and plotting out the future course of action …”

Wildlife Resources Conservation, Minister Vijith Wijayamuni Zoysa said; “So many actresses have entered politics. We have had to put forward actresses due to the mindset of the public ..”

Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare, Minister Dilan Perera expressed these views;

“Because persons like Mangala Samaraweera betrayed their policies. That resulted in the Matara District, which was the symbol of politics based on policies, to fall into a state of disgrace. Mangala Samaraweera who did not pick up even pick up a simple twig,  is now wielding cinnamon sticks and smoking cigarettes while he attacks UNPers with his eyes wide open. Minister Wijayamuni said he associated Mangala. I was at that house. But no harm was done to me. I am in the opposite side. I am with Sanath Jayasuriya …”
